Current Series:
Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem for the Passover Festival. He rode in on a donkey, a symbol of peace, as people waved palm branches and shouted “Hosanna!” – a word meaning “deliver us!” or “save us.” Jesus’ reputation as a miracle worker had spread throughout Galilee and Judea. The people of Jerusalem openly speculated that he could be the Promised One, the Messiah. Many thought this would mean a return to the military victories of Jesus’ ancestor, King David. They thought Jesus would lead a campaign against the Romans. But Jesus’ mission was far bigger.
